self portrait

Well this is my digital self portrait. I started off by trying to create something a little different then my normal photoshop work since I kind of accidentally did this project in our four photos assignment. Then I got this idea of making me into some kind of demon like thing so I went from there. Then I got the idea of making me have a bunch of ghostly arms. So then I proceeded to create a background vortex in photoshop. I started off by just spray painting it black and dark blue followed by experimenting with all sorts of filters and then warped it all together. Then I decided to get my wife to help me out, since it was a self portrait and she being a very important part of me, by using her skill of make up to make me look ghostly, spooky, and bloody. After she took the picture of me I placed the picture of me on my background and then pasted a couple copies of my arm on there as well and played with the transparency of them all. I also added a few filters as well especially the motion blur one. Then I also found some cool skulls that would go well with the dark and spooky theme and a took the one and made it large and off to the side and took the bundle of skulls and repeated it across the bottom to create a base. Then I also messed with the opacity on them to go along with the ghostly transparency theme.

Hey Zach,
very seamless work. Did you think about blurring the arms together? Just an after thought.
